Real, living people are presented and 'framed' alongside the Gallery's permanent collection in this radical and thought-provoking event by the Other People. The unusual situation of being able to stand and look at another person as though they were an 'artwork' turns the traditions of portraiture on their head, while raising fascinating questions about performance, identity and liveness.
Live Portraits include -  Shunt's own Serena Bobowski, mobile phone technician Abdul Hai Soorty, identical Bennun twins, and an attempt at a live portrait of a recently deceased man, Edward Hampton, who was born 100 years ago on April 4th.
TICKETS ARE FREE.
